Catherine Day and Ros Franklin (Chairman of the Eden Project Florilegium) were one of a group of selected members of SWSBA who were awarded an RHS Silver Medal in 2013 for their themed exhibition entitled ‘Spots and Stripes’. Catherine is a previous solo medal winner and Ros a first time medal winner.
Jess Carr was awarded Silver Gilt for her first solo exhibition, February 2015, for her exhibit: Exposing the Nature of Nurture

Eden Project Florilegium Society member and Publicity Secretary, Laura Silburn, achieved a Gold medal at the RHS London Orchid and Botanical Art Show in April with her submission of six paintings of Hardy Geraniums.

Billy Showell held a well-attended two-day workshop at Eden to demonstrate her techniques in drawing and painting tulip flowers and leaves. Everyone attending was keen to try Billy’s wet-in-wet method of botanical painting, and during the two days Billy gave demonstrations, and lots of useful advice, interspersed with opportunities for those present to try things out using subjects of their choice. Ros Franklin was awarded an RHS Gold Medal (May 2015) for her first solo exhibition “Arisaemas for the Sheltered Garden or Greenhouse”. The RHS Lindley Library has purchased one of the paintings Arisaema speciosum var. mirabile for their collection.
