There are two main levels of membership to the Society:
Associate Membership is open to anyone interested in the work of The Eden Project Florilegium Society, no painting or botanical knowledge is required. We welcome all new members whether or not they wish to become Painting Members. Associate Members are welcome to all talks, workshops and botany walks, and to our AGM held in March. See our annual events programme for further details.
Associate Membership costs £23 per calendar year. Renewals are due at the AGM, but no later than March each year.
To become a Painting Members applicants are required to submit, and have accepted, five botanical paintings by the Assessment Panel. Submissions are at the AGM, and are assessed the following day.
Painting Members are expected to offer at least one painting/illustration each year to the Archives at Eden, to be assessed by the panel. Submissions are at the AGM. Assessment Day will be shortly after the AGM, at a day to be agreed by the Chairman and The Assessment Panel. Once accepted into the Archives, the painting is donated to The Eden Project. Each painting should be accompanied by a herbarium specimen.
Painting Members are welcome to attend all talks, workshops and botany walks, and the AGM held in January. See our annual events programme for further details. Painting Members are entitled to unlimited, free entrance to the Eden Project throughout the year. They also have the support of the Science Team and Horticultural/Botanical specialists at Eden and Watering Lane Nurseries.
Once a Painting Member has three paintings accepted into the Archives they become a Fellow of The Eden Project Florilegium Society (FEPFS).
Painting Membership costs £28 per calendar year. Retired Fellows £23.
