Watercolour course now open for booking 2025, £350 with lunches
This watercolour course at the Sawpit Studio, Heligan, will be using the height of summer’s colours and textures to inspire us for four days of botanical relaxation. With a fully catered two-course lunch each day we will be able to focus all our energy on our artwork. Using the traditional step-by-step line, tonal, watercolour method, I will guide you through the stages of creating a piece of botanical art.
The Sawpit Studio is in the grounds of The Wagon House in a private area of Heligan Gardens. As a dedicated botanical art studio, it is well-equipped with an extensive botanical art library, light box and microscope – and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the day as well.
The courses are suitable for all levels including complete beginners as the small group size allows most of the teaching to take place one-to one. The days run from 10am until 3pm and the catered lunches are delivered to the house where we enjoy our meals each day.
There is a £50 deposit to secure a place – please contact laurasilburn@hotmail.co.uk to book.
